National Capital Paediatrics is a private specialist clinic, and all the specialists are independent practitioners.

Each Specialist has their own fee structure, part of which is covered by Medicare rebates. There are usually different fees for initial and review consultations. Please contact reception for the applicable fee for your specialist.

Patients require a valid referral from their GP or other medical specialist prior to review. Without this the applicable Medicare rebate is unable to be processed.

Unfortunately private health funds do not provide any rebate for consultations with medical practitioners. Psychology services may claimable depending on your extras level. Please contact your health fund for more information.

Surgical procedures undertaken subsequent to consultations are claimable from your health fund, depending on your level of cover, though an out of pocket cost is commonly charged to account for the difference between the Health fund rebates and the cost of the procedure. The surgeon will provide you with the necessary MBS codes to check coverage with your fund. Out of pocket costs will be provided prior to any procedure being booked and performed.
