Dr Benjamin Wagstaff

Ben Wagstaff is an Australian trained paediatric surgeon having gained fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2025.

He commenced his paediatric surgical training at the Canberra hospital and is excited to return home to Canberra and share his varied experience from Royal Children’s Hospital, Perth Children’s Hospital and Royal Darwin Hospital.

Ben provides paediatric surgical care for a range of general surgical conditions across childhood including neonatal surgery, hernias, undescended testes, preputial (foreskin) conditions, minimally invasive surgery and endoscopy. In addition, he is happy to provide antenatal counselling for parents expecting a child with a paediatric surgical condition.

Ben will be consulting at Canberra Hospital and National Capital Paediatrics and operating in both the Canberra Hospital and Calvary John James Hospital from March 2026.
